Released in 1989, Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure and it's A&M Records soundtrack, were
responsible for several "firsts". Bill & Ted's was actor Keanu Reeves' first starring role in a major film release and the promotional music video, featuring Vital Signs, was the first and only video by an unsigned band to ever be aired on NBC's Friday Night Videos. Vital Signs' contribution to the soundtrack, "The Boys And Girls Are Doing It", was also released as a CD single during the same week that "Bill & Ted's" became one of the top grossing movies of the year (a coincidence...we think not!).
